The black gay party scene provides a fun and exciting experiences for gay men, especially here in New York City.
Parties have been a way for LGBT persons to come together, especially black gay men. Many years ago LGBT parties for persons of color were commonly thrown in warehouses and other secluded spaces. Only a handful of limited spaces for LGBT persons existed and there fewer spaces for LGBT persons of color were present. But as homosexuality has become more acceptable there have been many more clubs, bars, and other event spaces catering to gay black men. The value of these events is that they provide safe, welcoming environments where gay men of color were able to meet and socialize with other gay men and not feel excluded. They can flirt, twerk, and freely express themselves.
Below is a list of monthly and weekly gay black parties here in NYC:
Was Monday a stressful day? Well you can relieve that stress at Taco Tuesday. It’s a happy hour/patry organized by m mega promoter Frank Watson. There is no cover for the event and the drink specials are $5!
